About Student Chapter

IFERP student chapter resides at one or more colleges or universities, and ideally involves students and faculty members from different departments. The purpose of a chapter is to generate interest in advancement of education and research in relevant field of science, engineering and technology by providing students opportunities to

  • Share ideas and enthusiasm with fellow students and faculty from any relevant department on campus
  • Explore career opportunities
  • Make contacts that will last a lifetime
  • Develop leadership skills

IFERP encourages interdisciplinary participation by students from many departments on campus. Chapters include students from Engineering Technology Departments including Computer Science, Electrical Electronics, Electronics Communication, Mechanic, Civil Engineering, and other sciences. The activities of student chapters can include lunch discussions about career opportunities in Advancement of Education and Research field of Engineering Technology, lectures given by guest speakers, team projects such as undergraduate competitions, social functions, and field trips to industrial laboratories or IFERP section meetings.

Benefits of Student Chapter

All Students who are students of such an engineering college shall be eligible for attachment to such Chapter and the affairs of such Chapter shall be managed in accordance with the rules framed and approved by the Council from time to time under the guidance of the adviser who shall be a member of the faculty nominated by the managing authorities of the respective engineering colleges
